The revolver has a 7 1/2" barrel and retains the original factory nickel finish. This is an early production revolver as indicated by the pinched post front sight, the 44 Rem chambering, early barrel address, early hammer and lanyard ring. This revolver is a first model manufactured in the first 14,000 revolvers. The revolver is original including the wood grips and nickel plating. Mechanically, the revolver is very good and cycles as intended. Cosmetically, the revolver shows some flaking of the nickel primarily on the cylinder as shown in the photos. The grips are very good. The fit of the grips to frame is also very good. The revolver also has interesting Texas history. We provide LAY-AWAY PLANS which are available for this item.
