Incredible rarity - Genuine and authentic Lefever BE Grade 16ga. Gun made with 28" Krupp Fluid Steel barrels, splinter forend with engraved steel tip and clamshell opener. The casehardened sidelock receiver is beautifully engraved as seen in the photos and barrels and fences are wonderfully sculpted as usually seen on these later production guns. The finely figured European Walnut buttstock is a rare semi-pistol grip and terminates with a thick Lefever Arms Co. Monogrammed buttplate.
Gun remains in excellent overall condition. Barrels with about 95% excellent rust blue. Frame has some original case color remaining. Stocks are excellent and sound with minor handling marks and original finishes remaining. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent.
In 35+ years of chasing Lefevers, this is the 3rd B Grade in 16ga I've held in my hands and one of the only ones I know of that is in respectable condition.
