Description:
Built in 1969 with 24" round brl that is slightly floral engraved at breech end and has usual maker's stamps. Rosewood capped walnut stocks is beautifully checkered and carved at foregrip in relief and punch dot pattern. Satin finished floorplate and trigger guard are engraved with standing bear surrounded by acanthus scroll and tiger on trigger guard. Bear with initial "A.M." (A. Marchael) and tiger with initials "G.V." (G. Vandermissen). Satin finished receiver with large moose and elk on front bridge with engraver's "L.A." (L. Acampo). Remainder of receiver engraved in punch dot shaded relief acanthus scroll. Gold plated trigger. Rear portion of grip with factory carved checkered and stippled through the wrist, has white lined rosewood & gold capped pistol grip, cheek piece on left side of stock, small Monte Carlo towards butt, and terminates with tis original Browning brand white lined waffle pad. Gun is mounted with a Browning 2-1/2x - 8x scope. Accompanied by a factory original instruction manual.
Gun remains in excellent overall condition with barrel retaining 95-97% original blued finish. Stock appears to be salt free and metal shows no apparent salt damage. Screws are not frozen in place. Stock is very good with scattered impressions and hunting bumps most notably on left side of receiver and towards rear of butt on right side. Receiver and bolt are excellent with some minor staining from oil. Bore is bright and shiny. mechanics are excellent. Scope optics are fine. A beautiful triple signed Browning rifle in a fairly rare caliber.
