Description:
This is a Vintage Legitimus Collins & Co USA Machete No. 460 of approx. 29" OAL, comprised of a flat ground, carbon steel blade of about 24" length with full tang quadruple riveted to the 5" old school grips HD black plastic with angle-cut, the blade is in excellent condition with nice finish and no signs of abuse. Probably produced back in the immediate post-WWII era, based on style & materials used, the blade is clearly marked on left flat just above the grip with logo of a hand holding a hammer through the top of a crown with "Legitimus" just below, and also has: "COLLINS & CO." "Made In U.S.A." "No.460", imprinted into the steel below. ;
