Description:
Very nice looking relic condition Civil War bullseye canteen made by Hadden, Porter & Booth of Philadelphia. They had canteen contracts with the Federal government between 1861 and 1864. The canteen is complete with all three sling loops. It has some slight dings and dents. The canteen has light pitting and a couple small holes, such that it appears it may be an early battlefield pick up that was cleaned and coated for preservation. The canteen has a cork and chain attached, but I think this was likely attached by a collector after the fact. Very nice piece with a "been there" look. Please take a look at all the photos as they provide the best description of condition. Shipping to the lower 48 contiguous states. Three day return privilege, buyer pays return shipping.
