Description:
20 inch round barrel chambered in 35-30 Maynard caliber with an octagon breech. Bright bore with very good rifling. Originally built as a percussion rifle, this example appears to have been factory-converted to both center fire and then the later thin head cartridge. Overall metal is a gray/brown color. Sights include a factory tang sight with fine aperture plate, v-notch rear and a replacement Beach-style combination front sight that retains about 95% blue and gold finishes. Pistol grip buttstock is in very good condition. Action functions well with the exception of the extractor missing. A very good Maynard Sporting Rifle.
