Description:
This is a high-end target rifle assembled on a custom basis by the K&M Precision Rifle Training using components from some of the best manufacturers in the firearms industry. The 26” stainless barrel is built by Bartlein for G.A. Precision and features an MTU contour and matte black finish. Chambered for the 6.5 Creedmoor, the twist rate is a fast 1:7.5 inches for stabilising the heaviest VLD bullets. The receiver is the excellent Impact 737R which is the most popular action among the top 100 shooters in the Precision Rifle Series since 2018. It is notable for using a one-piece bolt designed with the proper geometry and clearance to allow for a consistently smooth operation under field conditions. To maximize convenience, the 737R uses a Remington 700 Short Action footprint and works with Remington 700 triggers. The receiver will feed cartridges up to an OAL of 2.960 inches, and is cut for AW and AICS magazines. The stock used in this custom example is the MDT ACC Premier Gen 1 chassis system. This chassis was designed with an “integrated weight management system” wherein shooters may fine-tune the chassis’ weight and balance point. Weights (which are M-LOK compatible) can be added to both the stock and fore end, allowing the Premier Gen 1 to weigh between the basic 4.5 pounds all the way up to 12.3 lbs., but that is only just for the chassis itself. Adding the receiver and barrel, plus an optic and a bipod, can take the match rifle to between 25 and 30 lbs., rifles in this weight class being common at PRS competitions. The current weight of the gun as shown is 15.0 lbs. The trigger is a very smooth Trigger tech Diamond Pro Curve which is adjustable from 4 oz. to 2.0 lbs. The rifle comes with one 12-round magazine. It exhibits wear on the sides of the fore end but is otherwise in superb condition all around. It has had three or four boxes at most fired through it. With the right scope and bipod, it would be suited to more than just PRS competition, being also suitable for long-range plains hunting or more conventional competition use.
