5" tapered octagon barrel, round at the breech, engraved Stephen R. Heilmann on the top of the barrel, and gold inlaid with the caliber on left side of breech. Highly figured walnut stock with smooth ebony inlay at forend tip, raised & pedestalled sculptured sling swivel bases, extraordinary intertwining ribbon checkering flowing fully under the forend and over the wrist, sculptured detail at bolt stop, steel pistol grip cap, vacant gold initial oval, classic comb, beaded cheekpiece, and hand-checkered steel trapdoor buttplate. Granite Mountain Mauser-type action with sculptured double squarebridges, sculptured and fire-blued extractor claw, polished magazine follower engraved with calibre, sculptured bolt handle with 5-panel checkered knob, sculptured cocking piece with Model 70-type safety, blind rear action screw, hinged straddle floorplate with release inside triggerguard, one-piece bottom metal ogive-sculptured at front and rear with engraved and registered screws, and Blackburn trigger with sculptured fire-blued lever. Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40mm matte-finish scope with fine duplex reticle on custom Leupold-style rings fitted directly to action squarebridges without separate bases. Pull: 14 1/2". Weight: 8lbs, 3oz. Break at grip area absolutely eradicated by Dennis Earl Smith, "The Stock Doctor", invisibly and with a reinforcing shaft longitudinal through the wrist; stronger than new. And in new condition. There will never be another one like it.
