The Leuchtpistole 34 is a single shot, break open action smooth bore flare gun. The frame is machined from duralumin and blued. The flare gun has duv 41 and serial number 373b on left side. Nazi eagle proofs are on the right side. Bakelite grips. Leather holster has lug 1941 stamp on the inside flap. The German maker code, duv, stands for Berlin-lubecker Maschinenfabfiken Bernhard Berghaus of Lubeck.
