Description:
R. Robinson 12-bore SxS boxlock hammerless sporting gun serial number 11098 28” barrels 2 ½ inch chambers. The barrels are marked "R. ROBINSON, 7 QUEEN ST. HULL" on top of the solid game rib, underside of chambers marked "NITRO PROOF 1 1/8 , choked full and cylinder, completely engraved boxlock action marked "R. ROBINSON" on scroll on both sides, top lever, straight-handed English walnut stock with checkered wrist, 14 3/4" pull, matching checkered splinter forearm with engraved diamond and tip piece with push rod release. Butt Plate is checkered wood with gold medallion owners plate not engraved. It has extractors. According to the business records, This gun was manufactured between 1894 and 1922. Some of the case coloring remains especially on the bottom of the receiver near the trigger guard as well as the trigger guard and tang. The wood is very nice with some impressions and dents as well as the number R4402 stamped in the bottom of the stock near the medallion. The checkering is worn.
All in All this is a fine English Double with beautiful engraving.

Very good condition. Action crisp, barrels on face, bores are bright and shiny.Engraving is beautiful and wood is very nice for age.
