This early Southgate Weatherby in .270 wby mag, with 24" barrel remains in very good to excellent condition. The stock has a few small impressions on the underside of the forearm, it has the typical areas where the origianal stain that weatherby used has faded slightly with age. The fine 26 lpi checkering remains sharp and crisp. There are a few small blemishes in the bluing, the bottom of the floorplate has a couple of spots, but overall it retains most of the high polish bluing that Weatherby is famous for.
