For sale is a sporterized U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag–Jørgensen bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-40 Krag. Serial number 301894 dates this rifle to 1900 production. It features a 24-inch barrel and has been customized with a Monte Carlo-style walnut stock including a cheek rest and added recoil pad.
This rifle retains its original Krag action and has been upgraded with Williams front and rear sights for improved accuracy. The front barrel band shows surface wear and scratching, while the metal overall has developed a uniform patina. The stock is clean and solid with light handling marks.
