Battle field pickup or excavated, original Model 1860 US Cavalry saber dated 1862 or 1863.in relic condition. Markings are faint but still visible. The hilt is bent as probably stepped on by a horse. The length of the blade is approximately 34.5 with a total length of 40.5 inches. The metal has a dark brown patina with pitting. The wood handle is mostly present but the leather and wire are missing. A nice civil war cavalry display piece. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
