*** PRICE REDUCED *** This is a beautiful example of the engravers art. It did not leave the factory as an engraved gun. It was shipped on Feb. 1967 to a large distributor in Albany NY and was one of 20 Identical revolvers with a blued finish and a four-inch barrel. The revolver was subsequently custom engraved for Mr. Jerry Zwicker, a gun dealer in Arizona. By the early 1990’s it had made its way to Lancaster PA where it was purchased by a member of the current owner’s family. He was a renowned antiques dealer with an eye for beautiful things as evidenced by his purchase of this fine S&W.
This Smiths engraving and other work is obviously the work of a master engraver. It is 100% covered with deep smooth flowing engraving of an unusual pattern. The artist has not signed his or her work, but the talent is self-evident. I have searched the S&W Engravers book and can find no similar examples of this work.
In addition to the engraving, it features gold inlay bordering the frame. A circular flourish is found at four places, not an easy task. The artist cuts a dovetail channel into which the gold wire is forced. The groove is wider at the bottom securing the gold wire. The circular flourish is so intricate it may be the artist’s trademark signiture.
The "S&W" on the right side of the frame is inlayed with gold, yet again an intricate touch. The hammer and Trigger are Gold Plated.
With this much work and investment into a revolver the original grips would be out of place. Beautifull ivory grips with S&W silver escutcheon have been installed completing this fantastic revolver.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee.
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in-state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
