I prefer to sell each firearm myself instead of leaving it to the whims of an auuction. I will be listing rifles, shotguns, old, modern, some NIB, and some that are rare. In purchasing from me, you are dealing with the actual owner and not a dealer who has no familiarity with the firearm. I have owned these firearms for anywhere from a year and a half, to several decades. When purchasing from me, there will be no surprise needed repairs. Description: Scarce Cavalry-type firearm. Manufactured at Koishikawa arsenal. 6.5 Jap caliber. Matching numbers on receiver and bayonet lug/collar assembly. The bolt is non-matching but action functions tight and flawlessly. The dust cover is not original to the gun but functions flawlessly. The flat trap compartment through the buttplate still contains the 2-piece cleaning rod set, often these are missing. Stock has had a glossy varnish added to it. It has some typical military handling marks but in general is in pretty good shape. There are no cracks. The metal is also in great shape. Plenty of original bluing left everywhere except the floorplate, trigger guard, and buttplate. No evidence of any surface erosion anywhere except some pinprick on the trigger guard and the bolt release lever, all the rest of the metal is smooth. Locking bayonet functions as it should. Bore is shiny with good grooving. The mum was ground off and the area reblued, this was usually done in haste and roughly, but on this gun the area is very smooth and it is difficult to tell if the mum was ever there. All the stampings in the metal are incredibly well-defined. An impressive example of a perfectly functioning and cared for Type 44. I am already priced lower than anyone else that has one in this condition so no lowballers please. I can provide several high-res photos to any SERIOUS buyer. I can also provide a short video clip of it in operation. Terms are as per this Description section and our correspondence. Cash only if a Local sale. For local sale I will only sell to anyone who is verified to purchase a firearm so I would need to see either a FFL, or Neb Firearm Purchase Certificate, and ID with either, just like it's done at the as/shows. Concealed Carry Permit works as well. I will ship to an FFL If you do not have your own FFL you must contact your FFL provider and ensure that they will accept firearms for transfer that come from a private individual like me that does not have an FFL. I will also need contact info for your receiving FFL so that I can arrange shipping with them. If I'm shipping the firearm, payment for the firearm and shipping combined is by Bank Cashier's Check ONLY. Shipping is to only the lower 48 and is a flat fee of 65 dollars. Price: $1,250.00 |
