About Us: I am a private individual gradually selling off my collection. I prefer to sell each firearm myself instead of leaving it to the whims of an auuction. I will be listing rifles, shotguns, old, modern, some NIB, and some that are rare. In purchasing from me, you are dealing with the actual owner and not a dealer who has no familiarity with the firearm. I have owned these firearms for anywhere from a year and a half, to several decades. When purchasing from me, there will be no surprise needed repairs.

Description:
12 Gauge. Pump action. 28” barrel, Uncommon Modified choke, most were Full. Serial # C83336. Early production, manufactured in 1899. Wood and finish appear original, you be the judge. Some handling marks and scratches in rear stock, but remarkably there are no cracks in the grip area like most old 97’s have. The only crack in the rear stock I could find is a dry-crack back at the buttplate. There is a tiny chip of wood missing at the toe of the buttplate, and a couple small ones in the top of the comb. There is a neat 00 CP stamp in the stock that indicates possible law enforcement history? Appears to have original buttplate. Foregrip wood is in remarkable condition for the age. It is light on handling marks. The left side has a short incredibly tight hard-to-see crack at the front. The right side has a thin crack at the retaining screw, and a short incredibly tight hard-to-see crack at the front. The bluing has some wear due to age but there is still a lot there, and I think could be original, again, you be the judge. Receiver frame has some small scratches, small scuffs, and small age spots. There is a small area of lighter-than-pinprick surface pitting on the left side of frame. Barrel has no dents, markings are well-defined, bore is shiny with some small patches of pitting. Action works smooth and confident. Nice shooting gun, everything functions well. I can provide several high-res photos and even a short video clip of it in operation to a SERIOUS buyer.  Terms are as per this Description section and our correspondence. Cash only for Local sale. For local sale I will only sell to anyone who is verified to purchase a firearm so I would need to see either a FFL, or Neb Firearm Purchase Certificate, and ID, just like it's done at most as/shows. Concealed Carry Permit works as well. I will ship to an FFL If you do not have your own FFL you must contact your FFL provider and ensure that they will accept firearms for transfer that come from a private individual like me that does not have an FFL. I will also need contact info for your receiving FFL so that I can arrange shipping with them. If I'm shipping the firearm, payment for the firearm and shipping combined is by Bank Cashier's Check ONLY. Shipping is to only the lower 48 and is a flat fee of 70 dollars.
