Description:
J.P. Sauer & Sohn boxlock side by side chambered in 12 gauge. This gun was made in West Germany with "Spezial Laufstahl - Bochumer Verein" 26" barrels chambered for 2 3/4" shells. The left barrel flat is marked "FULL CHOKE and "HALF CHOKE" on the right. The barrel flats have Suhl proof marks and "1161" date code. The left of the barrel lug is marked "285477", the forend iron is marked "285477", water table is marked "285477". This shotgun has a bead fixed to the front of the rib and mid. The top of the rib has wavy serrations. The coin finished receiver has boarder scroll games scenes of ducks on the left side and pheasants on the right. The stocks are two-piece checkered select walnut with a splinter forend, straight grip, straight comb, QD sling mounts and a ventilated rubber buttpad. 12 Gauge
