This is an 1862-made revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, arbor, trigger guard, and backstrap. The cylinder is numbered to a different gun and the wedge has no visible numbers. The metal has an overall pale gray patina with scattered spots of darker freckling throughout, as well as minor cleaning marks along the barrel and around the cylinder, which has traces of the naval scene still remaining. US inspector marks are visible on the barrel and cylinder. The brass trigger guard has an overall dull yellow-ochre patina, while the walnut grips are in good-very good shape with some light wear throughout, some small impact marks at the butt, a carved "H" at the top of the right side, and visible inspector cartouches on either side. The lock-up is tight and the action is still fully functional. This is a good-very good Civil War era ‘60 Army overall. Antique; Price: $1,895.00 Antique: Yes |
