32651- CIVIL WAR AMES U.S. MODEL 1850 FOOT OFFICER’S SWORD AND SCABBARD CIRCA 1855-60. 36” o/a with 31” blade engraved and acid etched with floral and martial motifs including a fine Federal Eagle and “US”. Brass guard and shark skin grip wrap with original brass retaining wire. Leather scabbard with brass mounts. Very good overall with battle wear. Nice old patina on brass. Nice original Ames at a reasonable price. $1,250
