"Serial No. 456, circa 1865, .54 caliber, 22 1/8" round barrel. Bore is good with light oxidation noted in the grooves; rifling remains strong. Metal has thinned to a light grey patina with pin-prick surface oxidation scattered throughout. Factory markings are strong on breech and lock plate. Stock has expected nicks, dings and scratches. Action functions correctly.
