This Model 1886 Winchester was produced in 1888. The rifle's serial number is 24688. It has the octagonal 26 inch barrel chambered for the 40-82 W. C. F. cartridge. This bore is a good condition shootable bore. The barrel flats have no damage to the flat edges. The sights are original to this gun. The action works correctly with no issues. This rifle is in patina condition with the finish. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage to the wood. This is a well used Winchester from the western frontier era. This rifle comes with a Model 1891 Loading tool, Winchester Bullet Mould, Brass shells and lead bullets. The loading tool is complete with the decapping tool and primer seater. It is properly marked for the 40-82 shells. The bullet mould is also marked for the 40-82 bullet. I have some 40-82 brass hulls and cast bullets as well as loading charts that will go with this Winchester. This rifle is all set to load and shoot.
