"Serial number NSN. Made circa 1880s-1890s. 40-90 Sharps Straight with a 28" number 4 barrel. This is a custom higheall that was modified probably in the 1920s-1930s. The serial number was removed during refinishing. At some point this gun was sleeved for 22 Long Rifle and marked so, but was converted to 40-90 Sharps Straight. Very attractive gun!
