FINE CONDITION MODEL 71 .348 WCF DELUXE RIFLE, #42XXX, MADE 1953. This one has seen a little use, but is still in excellent condition inside and out. The receiver and bolt retain fine deep blue with some very light wear only on the bottom of the receiver by the serial number and a little on the forward bottom left edge. Even the upper tang retains good blue with only minor freckling. The receiver is fitted with a correct Lyman all steel receiver sight. The barrel shows most of the blue with some minor scuffs and freckling only. Exc. markings, exc. deep reddish/brown stock and forend with tight wood to metal fit and exc. checkering. The pistol grip has the correct Winchester embossed hard rubber grip cap and the stock retains the original checkered steel butt plate. Has a filler in the rear barrel dovetail with no indication it ever held a sight. Front sight is a blade/bead in the correct ramp. Super grade swivel studs, fine action and bright exc. bore. This 72 year old .348 needs to be taken into the field again!
