Description:
What's special about this set:  The initial commercial production of a long line of championsip guns, derived from the C96.

Set of Walther GSP and OSP, first version, with extra magazines.

Both guns have had very light (GSP) or light use and are in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, but are not NIB.  The box is for the GSP only, has some shelf wear, with no test target or booklet.

Despite their age, the mechanical condition and accuracy of these guns renders them very suitable for field and target use, if that is intended or desired.   The metal finish on the early OSP and GSP are much darker and more finely done than on the later guns.  It may be necessary to tilt the display screen forward with LCD screens or to change the brightness to see the colors and  blackness clearly.

Not shown, up to approximately 10 original magazines are available per gun, at added cost.  2 for each are included at thes tated price.

The SNs of the two guns are about 100 digits apart, but the guns are from different model series, and this does not reflect a close match in production dates.

Please note, about 10 versions of the GSP and about 5 of the OSP were produced over the decades.  This set is of interest to those curious about "the originals" and how they differed, or were similar to the later ones.  Unlike the current or later GSP and OSP guns, these guns, while modular in design, do not have interchangable modules between them, and the barrel mount for the OSP is quite different from the GSP, using a dovetail interlock with no bolt.  The later GSP barrels will not fit the upper section of this GSP, due to a difference in center bore size.  Both guns require a magazine specific to the early models, and will not accept the .32 magazines unless rebored (as was done on some of these guns).

The OSP will not accept the GSP grips (see images), and the front sights differ.  The GSP rear sigtht is different from the later versions.

The OSP barrel is ported, which can be closed for higher MV if desired.

Both guns have trigger block safeties.  Unlike the later GSP and OSP, both guns are designed to have a "standard" last round hold open of the breech, which is operational on both with the magazines provided.  The current 8 and 10 rd GSP magazines will not fit this GSP easily, due to a slightly larger front to rear dimension on all later GSP magazine wells.

The triggers are single stage match or target triggers that are adjustable, but the adjustment screws are not quite as easy to reach as on the later versions.

This GSP will not accept the GSP rifle barrels, or the 10" "free pistol" barrel made by Koenig (Germany) for the GSP, due to difference in base dimension.s

Although these guns were acquired by me in Germany and originally sold there, the caliber markings and safeties indicate the model actually was intended for the USA market.

If a later version of either the GSP or OSP are desired, a few are available.  Please contact if so desired, so that they can be listed on this service if appropriate.

The listed price includes 2 original magazines for each.  Final price is to be determined by the total number of magazines desired, and shipping costs.  Both guns have importer marks, not having been sold in the USA by Walther or Interarms.

The GSP and OSP were derived from the Mauser C96, via an intermediary Mauser design, the Romonowski "GSP".  While not the most accurate gun ever made for this purpose, the basic design provided good accuracy, durability, excellent feeding, and modlar parts interchangbility.  Although Walthr has discontinued the design, it remains in use by Pardini, as what continues to be a very high quality target pistol.

The finish on these guns is much "finer" than any later production OSP or GSP.  Accuracy is about the same.  Parts and modules on these do not interchange easily with later OSP or GSP.

Shipping to most locations is around $50 by ground.  Both guns are C&R listed.

A word of caution:  Due to the many variations in the OSP and GSP with time, it is advisable to obtain knowledgable and competent information and advice prior to, or during purchase.  When comparing prices on these guns, also note, the magazines themselves are quite uncommon, and often not readily available.  The additional magazines that can be provided are with both flat and coved bases.  Only the coved or curved bases are illustrated.

The 3 day approval period is a standard default format from Guns International.  It can be extended on require due to local delays in delivery that may occur, and time required to evaluate and these the firearms.
