Description:
Offered is a very unique Colt Army Special that is chambered in .38 Special and has the 5” barrel. This gun was shipped in 1917 to sheriff William A. MacRae of Wyoming County New York. A factory letter is included that verifies the carved Ivory grips. While the letter states an eagle motif it is indeed a steelhead motif. Likely an entry error. Sheriff MacRae’s photo is included along with a couple articles on him. The gun remains in very good condition and the carved ivory grips are excellent. The gun is mechanically perfect and the bore is excellent. Also included with the gun is a Wyoming County Sheriff badge and the Colt factory archive letter. This is an early Colt revolver with historical significance. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $65 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information. Please see my other collectible firearms that I have listed.
