This Colt Buntline was produced in 1979. The pistol's serial number is SA 17996. It has the 12 inch Buntline Special barrel chambered for the 45 Colt cartridge. This Colt is new in the original box. It is in unfired condition. There is no drag lines or sign of handling. The original bluing would rate a 100% condition. The color cased finish is really stunning and very colorful. The Eagle grips are in new condition. This Colt predates the official introduction of the Buntline Special by 2 years! These Colt Buntline Specials are highly collectable and unusual to find! Having the original box with the label proves that this Colt is not rebarreled or altered. The box is in fine condition having the foam corrugated inside to secure the pistol in shipping. There is a Colt letter of congratulations for purchasing this pistol in the box. There is nothing else in the box. This Colt is certainly a collector grade pistol for the serious collector!
