This holster is for a variety frontier revolvers. The Colt model 1873, Colt model 1860 Army and its conversions, 1858 Remington and its conversions as well as the 1875 and 1890 Remington's . All of these fit very well in this holster. This holster can handle the Colt's models 1851 and 1861 and their conversions, but they are not as tight. This holster is made from a light weight leather and closely contoured to the revolver, because that is how it was done 160 years ago. The belt loop is cut for a right hand draw with a sewn closed toe. It will fit up to a 2 1/2 ” belt. This holster is a Slim Jim style, made from a 5/6 oz leather and copied after holsters from the post Civil War era. These holster are crafted for River Junction by our most talented leather-smith. Each piece is hand-made for us and cut in their shop from the hide. The piece is worked and tooled right on the crafter's bench and all are dyed, oiled and sewn by hand. It is the hand sewing that makes for the strongest stitch much superior to the machine stitch. All that at the most favorable price.
