These Unique and Hand made Ruger New Vaquero grips are ELK HORN WITH BARK.
These are a drop on fit to the Ruger (New Vaquero) and XR3-RED pattern, there should be very minimal fitting required.
They are natural ELK HORN, the crafter has made sure to leave all the character of the natural material so you get all the looks that the early bunkhouse cowboy crafter wanted so he had something different.
These grips are made of very dense hard horn and will mellow over time. The escutcheons and screws come pre installed.
There is a shallow hole to match up with your locator pin on the inside of your grip frame. You may need to enlarge this hole to get it to fit over your Locator Pin (this is not uncommon)
Both sides will have some variants of color and bark and will NOT look the same. Under close examination you will see the natural grain and even richer color variants. These are truly one of a kind Grips
Remember they are natural material and may have some minor imperfections. They are not as dense as ivory and can have noticeable porous areas.
