Henry Atkin Sidelock Ejector, made in 1901, 12 bore, new barrels made in 1960's by Atkin, Grant & Lang, 26" fluid steel barrels with smooth concave game rib, right tube engraved "Henry Atkin Ltd" and left tube engraved " 7 Bury Street, St James's London England", 2 3/4" chambers as proved with 3 1/4 TON nitro proof, choked .010 IC and .020 Mod., 6 lbs. 8 oz., sidelock action with 100% fine acanthus scroll engraving with "Henry Atkin" in banners on sides, nicely figured English walnut stock with 14 7/8" LOP over a leather covered pad, 1 9/16" DAC, 2 5/16" DAH, 1/8" cast off, top tang safety with "Safe" in gold, top lever with "2" in gold as was originally part of a pair, straight grip, splinter forend, bores .729 both, min. barrel wall thickness .029 and .028. Excellent condition gun tight and on-face, perfect bores and lots of wall thickness, an early Henry Atkin London made gun with engraving that looks like it could be Sumner work.
