Serial No. 6500276, made late 1944 to early 1945, .30 carbine, 18” round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling noted. Milled front sight is unmarked, barrel is marked with “w” and with the Winchester Proof mark. Type III band with bayonet lug is marked “SA”, with the unique high ridge “line” seen on Winchester bands and post war. “EW” button on safety “W/M” on magazine catch. Hammer, sear and milled Trigger assembly are marked “W”. Rear type “C” sight is marked with “Shield with H” on the inside. Low wood stock has faint ordnance mark. remains visible. Action is smooth and functions correctly, carbine comes with oiler, magazine pouch and sling. (DALLAS LOCATION)
