Description:
This is a 55 caliber double barrel smooth bore nicely engraved percussion pistol. The butt cap is engraved, the trigger guard and final are nicely engraved and the final at the end of the ram rod pipes and they all appear to be silver. The hammers and locks, top tang and breech are also engraved. The barrel rib is marked Zella St Blastii and the locks are signed John F Gernviy. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight and the bores are smooth with corrosion and some pitting. The wood at the right muzzle end has a repaired grain crack. This is a high quality German made percussion pistol.
