Description:
Price Reduced. Webley & Scott made a lot of Model 700 shotguns, and a limited number of Model 400 shotguns that were intended to be a lower price shotgun. They had no engraving but were just as well made as the 700 models, many of which were engraved in various grades. This Model 400 was made in 1909 and it appears the barrel has been reblued with a nice deep blue result. The receiver, for some reason, was not reblued and showes very little original finish. The 30" barrels have clean bores with no pitting and are marked "NITRO." Muzzle inside diameter of both barrels is .689 which is very close to a full choke. The English style walnut stock is nicely figured and has a semi-gloss finish. There are a few nicks and dings on the buttstock. The checkering on the grip and forend is still in good shape.(See Photos)
