Fewer than 1,000 DWM 30 Luger1923 Stoeger American Eagle Lugers were produced. They have four key characteristics: 1. Late flat, checkered toggle knobs; 2. American eagle above the chamber; 3. The right side of the receiver is marked A.F. STOEGER INC over NEW YORK; 4. The crown over N commercial proof on the left side of the frame and barrel bottom; and 5. The thumb safety is marked GESICHERT. This pistol, serial number 7812t, has approx 99% blue, like new strawed parts, and an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The numbers are matching throughout. GERMANY is on the front of the frame below the serial number. The tin plated Wood base magazine is correctly not numbered. This gun is equipped with the rare Sheard front sight which was fitted to a few 1923 Stoeger Lugers. The grips are excellent. The action functions correctly. You won‚‚t find a better A.F.
