Description:
This .45 Haines style flintlock looks like it just came off the bench. Not a mark worth mentioning on it. No builder name. Its heavily browned, straight taper barrel is 42" with 1:66 twist. Bright shiny bore looks unfired. The Tiger Maple stock has some nice figure and incise and relief carving. Brass fitted with 4 piece patchbox. LOP is 13 15/16". It has a DEAN MITTON lock. It sparks, but frizzen needs dressing. Its face was heavily browned when I got it. Roughing it up has helped, but needs a little more attention. Rifle weighs about 8.3 lbs and balances nicely. $1000 + shipping.
