Description:
2nd Model, .44rf, #38555, 20 inch barrel, blue and silver plate finish, engraved, extra figure walnut stock and forearm, butt plate and wood number to the rifle, bottom tang marked "XX", top tang marked "HLU" (Herman Ulrich?), original sights, 1870.
Condition: strong rifling with black powder oxidation, mottled silver blue barrel and tube, smooth dark gold brass with touches of silver plate remaining, excellent engraving, excellent wood has shrunk slightly, barrel address too faint to read.
