Operating rod and bolt are new…Gunsmith advises parts are correct for this period Garand…Bore shows wear from shooting and cleaning, plus there is pitting mid way in the bore, caused by use of ammo made with corrosive primers…Note early rear sight and trigger guard… Wood looks original to period, including a hand painted three digit rack number and a stamped seven digit number of unknown origin…Rare to see one of these early Garands in this fine shooting and collecting condition…C&R eligible…
