Synopsis: Attractive and Early Colt 1911, National Match, Cased, .38 Special, 865-MR, FB01078 Description: High condition Colt National Match .38 Special Mid Range, an early pistol, this example #865-MR, made in 1961, with patridge front sight and fully adjustable rear target sight. Left side of slide referencing National Match and the caliber. Colt address in Hartford on right side of the slide. Early barrel with COLT .38 SPC. N. M. notation over chamber. Serial number on right side of frame. Fitted with checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medalions. Correct factory magazines (2) referencing Colt and Caliber on floorplate. Complete with custom carrying/attache case, khaki canvas bound with leather corner reinforcement and maroon velour lining. Condition: Near EXC with minor handling marks and slight thinning of front and back straps as imaged. Comparable condition grips and magazines. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Exc carrying/attache case.
