.58 caliber, 40" barrel secured by three flat bands and retaining springs. 1861 patern lock and hammer marked "NORWICH" and dated 1865. Full length walnut stock with U.S. cartouche on the left flat. In very fine original condition showing and even light patina over the original polish on the barrel and lock. Excellent bright bore with sharp rifling. A very nice original rifle musket.
