Description:
Rare Type 1 slide legend US Remington Rand 1911A1 45ACP pistol with box. Serial number in the 932xxx range made in February of 1943. Original du-lite blue finish with “Syracuse, New York” long slide legend only found on Remington Rands in the first few months of production. S P marked Springfield Armory barrel, S marked Scoville magazine, fine checkered mainspring housing, narrow checkered hammer and blued (not du-lite as would be expected) checkered slide stop. Stamped trigger as would be found by this time on Rem Rands. Feedramp is polished as it should be. Shiny bore and all mechanics work well. Clear ordnance wheel mark on right side and P proofed on left side of frame and on top of slide. FJA inspector marked. Early non-reinforcement ring Keyes Fibre grips. Notice the various Rockwell hardness punch marks on the slide. Excellent original finish with a couple tiny cleaned rust speckles on the right side of the slide. Original WW2 Remington Rand box that is not numbered with some hand written Rock Island Arsenal markings on top. Type 1’s in original du-lite finish are extremely hard to find WW2 1911A1 pistols to find. This is a pretty nice one.

I try to describe the major features and flaws in each item, yet things do get missed so please review the pictures as well and please ask questions before you commit to purchase. Three day non-firing inspection with refund minus shipping unless otherwise noted.
Registered with CA DOJ for firearm transfer, but please check if approved by state of CA prior to (C&R items are exempt from this restriction if they abide by magazine and assault weapons laws). Shipments to 03 Curio & Relic FFL holders is allowed if it complies with state and local laws. Please note several state including NY, NJ, CA etc only allows shipment of C&R handguns and rifles to an 01 or 07 FFL dealer. Sales only in USA. I ship using FEDEX and USPS.
