Description:
This is a Turkish Peabody-Martini Rifle Saber Bayonet. Bayonet measures 28 1/4" overall with a blade of 22 1/2". The bright blade is in Very Good condition with light speckling and nice edge. The scales are replacements and in nice condition with no cracks and light handling marks. The guard is marked with a "C" and the pommel is marked "H U A and C". Made circa 1870s in US by Providence Tool Co. The catch has been removed so the bayonet was to be used as a side arm only.
