Description:
This is an Iver Johnson Company, Boston, #706 leather holster manufactured circa 1900-1920 that has been hand tooled with the name "PHIL" on the flap and a Texas Long Horn and floral motif on the main body of the holster. It is marked with "Iver Johnson Co. Boston" logo and "706 / 6 1/2". Designed to fit guns such as the Colt Single Action, S&W Schofield and others with a 6 ?? inch barrel. A great looking holster that will display well with your Cowboy gun. The holster is in very good condition with weathered leather that retains about half of the original finish with sound stitching and somewhat dry leather. A scarce holster with what must be an interesting history.
