What a great find we have here, a true high-condition, untouched factory original Marlin Model 1892 special-order rifle with 97% factory blue on the 28” octagon barrel and mag tube, 75% factory blue on the action, 95% factory case color on lever and hammer, and 95% factory finish on the stocks (usual handling marks throughout but finish all there). LOOK CLOSELY AT THE REAR SIGHT, AS IT IS A VERY RARE MARBLES/SHEARD FOLDING LEAF SIGHT WITH 3 FOLDING LEAVES…A SIGHT YOU WILL LIKELY NEVER SEE ON ANOTHER GUN IT IS SO RARE. The bore on this Marlin has strong rifling from breech to muzzle with scattered light pitting and would rate 7.5 on a scale of 10. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED RIFLE, HAVING BEEN STRIPPED TO THE SMALLEST PARTS, ULTRASONIC CLEANED AND SCRUBBED TO BARE METAL, ALL EXAMINED FOR FUNCTION AND INTEGRITY, LUBRICATED AND REASSEMBLED, NOW SOLD WITH A 90 DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY, A $400 SERVICE IN OUR SHOP. We have a Cody Firearms Museum information sheet documenting this fine little Marlin shipped just the way you see it in 1903. It is a rare find in such nice original factory condition. You can still find ammunition if you wish to shoot the gun, and it will spin a bullet nicely with-it great bore and long 28” barrel. Marlin Model 1892 rifles in high condition are grand investment vehicles and make great tangible assets to add to your collection. See specs below.
