Description:
Gold gilded receiver and nickel plated 33 inch round barrel. The nickel has turned a dark color. Straight grained walnut stock is in very good condition with most varnish remaining and a a shotgun style buttplate. Serial number 7. Receiver retains about 50% of the gold gilt. The engraving is flowing scrolls and a banner shield on the left side. Trigger guard is blued but missing the sling swivel. Lever is nicely nickeled and engraved. This is a high quality fancy gun. Marked on top of the barrel is "Peabody & Martini Patents Manufactured by Providence Tool Company Providence Rhode Island U.S.A.". Excellent gun from my personal collection.
