Offered is a rare and unique Colt revolver. It was the sidearm that Charlie Brubaker carried during his 27 years as Sheriff of Tombstone, Arizona, A letter that accompanies the revolver was written and signed by Deputy R.N. Stutsman who was the deputy under Charles Brubaker. When Sheriff Brubaker died the gun was given to Deputy Stutsman who retained it for 12 years before passing it on to Gail Webster of Williamsburg, Ontario Canada in 1980. This gun ended up in the large and famous western collection of John Fox in Montana and then on to my collection. For those collectors who enjoy the western history this gun fits right in. The gun is chambered in .38 Special and is mechanically perfect. It shows the wear that you would expect for a gun being carried for 27 years but still possesses much of its finish. The original hard rubber grips number to the gun and are free from cracks and chips. An excellent focal point for any collection. A Colt factory letter shows it was shipped in 1922 to Colts west coast agent, Phil Bekeart. Also included ai a Tombstone badge, badge display holder, revolver display stand and a colored photo of Charles Brubaker wering the gun.
This is an early Colt revolver with historical significance. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $65 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer).
