Description:
Bolt action rifle with 23-1/2 inch round barrel chambered in 6m/m glatt caliber. Top of the receiver is marked "JGA" and on top of the barrel it is marked Adolph Schwartz, Hannover. Original wood is nicely figured and retains a considerable amount of the original finish complete with a no butt plate. Barrel retains 75% blue turning a plumish coloration. Original sights and nice functioning action. Overall a clean little gun. The word "glatt" means (smooth) because there are no rifled barrels used in these guns. The 6mm was also known as "mouse and sparrow gun", Its extremely low powered, really just for mice and sparrows. A farm and barn gun for short range use.
