Fine Smith & Wesson Model 18 22 Target Revolver
Offered here for sale is a newly acquired classic Smith & Wesson target revolver which was a part of a larger Smith & Wesson collection. This specimen is a Smith & Wesson Model 18, also known as the .22 Combat Masterpiece. Traditionally chambered in .22 LR, with a 4-inch barrel, adjustable target sights, and K-frame. It was designed to mimic the feel and function of the Model 15 (which is in .38 Special) for training purposes. The revolver is in .22 Long Rifle with a 4 inch barrel. Double/Single-action revolver. Blued finish. Adjustable target sights. Factory checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions. Frame Size: K-frame
Originally introduced in the early 1950s (post-war), discontinued in 1985. We would rate the example in 98-99% condition with only light ear.
Barrel: 4" barrel is standard for the Model 18, balancing well for both target shooting and training purposes. Adjustable target sights are a premium feature, giving shooters the ability to fine-tune for accuracy.Bore: Excellent — crisp rifling, clean, no pitting. Factory original walnut grips with the S&W medallions A few scuffs are minor for a revolver of this vintage.Original-style factory box (correct type), but the serial number mismatch (penciled in) suggests it may not be original to this exact gun. But it matches up correctly with this revolver on specifications.
