Description:
This is an very-clean. VERY lightly-used, 5-shot Ruger SP101 SA/DA revolver chambered in .38 Special complete with it's original box. This Ruger SP101 was made in 1989, which was the first year of production for this model, a model which ended up being a staple of the Ruger revolver line. This fine revolver can be fired in either single or double-action, and has a 2 1/4-inch barrel with a full shroud housing the ejector rod, and a mirror bright bore and sharp rifling. The sights are a simple matte black blade at the front amnd a sighting grove that runs down the top strap. The action is perfectly in-time, and the cylinder locks up tightly. The gun has some light handling marks and a minor turn line on the cylinder. The factory original rubber grips are black with green center inserts, and they are in very good condition. The 5 shot cylinder has perfect chambers, and all of the controls work 100% like new. The double action on this Ruger is very light, smooth, and slick feeling, and the trigger breaks very cleanly in either mode of operation. This would be a perfect carry pistol, durable and weatherproof with it's stainless steel construction. As it is a first year production for this model and still is matched with it's original box, it has good value as a long term investment as well.
