Description:
"NSN, Circa 1840's-1860's, .72 caliber, 40.5"" round barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with pitting visible around the nipple. Lock plate has a ""Crown/AF"". Stock has expected nicks, dings, and scratches. The initials ""HM"" are carved into the wood. A piece of lead has impacted the area below the initials! Action functions correctly. It is more than likely to have been imported for the Civil War.
