Nice WILD WEST Antique SMITH & WESSON 2nd Model .38 DA Revolver INDIAN WARS
Classic Self Defense Revolver with NICKEL FINISH
Here we present an antique nickel finished 2nd Model Smith & Wesson .38 S&W Double Action Revolver, made circa 1880 through 1884 in Springfield, Massachusetts with a total of 115,000 manufactured. This would have been a staple in the early 1880s when having a revolver in one’s possession was almost a necessity, especially in the closing years of the wild west and Indian Wars. This revolver would have been manufactured just before the Apache Indian War between 1885 and 1886.
The overall condition is fine. Original nickel plating and blue finish. Robust action. The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and a light frosted appearance towards the muzzle. Both grips are in good shape with average handling wear. Markings are legible. Numbers match.
