Description:
5 shot percussion revolver with original 5 inch octagon barrel chambered in 31 caliber. Metal surfaces are a medium gray/brown patina with good corners and good markings. This Type II Model was made without a loading lever and has oval slots on the cylinder. About 50% of the Texas Ranger and Indian cylinder scene is still visible. Features all matching numbers including the wedge. Walnut grips show a fair amount of wear with correct square back brass trigger guard. There is a small chip out of the brass on the trigger guard near the screw. Good clean example made in 1849.
